"I'm an advocate of the arts because it can be considered one of the best forms of expression, it's a stress reliever, it can help individuals both mentally and physically and it's important in shaping our culture and our community. I truly feel that the arts should be available to all and the creativity center is a big opportunity to help make that happen. I love being part of the Friends of the BCPA board because I believe art is for everyone and I want to help give others the opportunity to find their outlet while bringing more awareness of the arts to our community.
The arts have played a big role in my life since I was a child. I discovered my love for dance and music very early on in life and I've been dancing and singing ever since! I took dance and piano lessons for over 13 years here in Bloomington-Normal and wouldn't trade those lessons for anything. If you hand me a pair of tap shoes I can promise you that my feet would never stay still! I've always enjoyed performing and have always had a blast performing every year in the Pantagraph's Holiday Spectacular on our very own BCPA stage!"
